Here at Mark Above Plumbing and Gas we love a ‘first time’! And Queenwood Properties allowed Mark Above the privilege of ticking off a new ‘first time’- our first residential development- (New Build).
Queenwood Properties specialize in duplexes that go above the standard that you might have come to associate with developments- and as such we felt that working with them was in line with both our brand and promise to be a ‘mark above’. Queenwood Property develops residential real estate within Hamilton City. Focusing on urban infill, they build and sell townhouse and lifestyle units directly to the public, specialising in the retirement/downsizing market.

Mark Above undertook all the plumbing, gasfitting and drainage for these 4 units. The project began in November 2021 and the finishing touches will be made in September 2023.
The first phase for us was the underfloor stage. Putting pipework to plumbing fixtures within the house, before the concrete slab was poured. With the help of a small digger and a lot of manpower first stage was completed on time- Jan 2022.

Phase two was the storm water and sewer drainage for these units. Storm water consisted of four separate soakage pits and one Cirtex system. Drainage consisted of a new council main coming into the property and the set up of a council inspection chamber in the property, with our feeds running to the units from these points. All completed by our skills professionals.
Phase three involved the pipe out stage. During this stage we ran Bute pex plumbing system to the plumbing fixtures, and set up shower mixers and shower wastes. We also, at this point, ran all our gas lines for Gas Infinities which allow for continuous hot water heating to the units.
Stage four consists of putting on the final touches: the fit off stage. This is the “wow factor” stage where our professional plumbers and gasfitters fit off the bathrooms and kitchens- all ready for the new homeowners to move in! From installing toilets, to tapware, to sinks, dishwashers, baths and fitting off laundry units- we do it all.

A really important step in the fit off stage is also to fit off, test and commission the gas appliances to ensure they pass all safety requirements and function as they should. Mark Above plumbing and gas provide all the gas certification required for these.
